Pregnant with my warrior princess

It’s been a very long time since I have posted here. I am currently 6.5 years in remission for the third time. I have been functional training for almost two years which has made me the slimmest and fittest I have ever been in my life. My twin girls are 10.5 and I’ve been married for 13 years. Just 3 days ago I was told that I am pregnant. Now the endocrinologist told me that I was pre menopausal and that it would be an absolute miracle for me to ever fall pregnant again. It took me a very long time to accept that but everntually I did and then started concentrating on mine and my hubbies health. We both became fit and healthy and so energetic. And it had a beautiful affect on my twins. But I gained 10 kgs in the last two months. I put it down to the fact that I left my gym. I wasn’t as focused. Then went on a cruise in November and got a chest infection when I returned. And this contributed to my weight gain. Two weeks ago I began looking at myself and wondered why all my weight gain was in my belly and bust and did a Home test. It came up positive almost instantly. First reaction were some expletive words and tears. Crying thinking how could this be. I rushed to the doctor to get a blood test and the next day he called me to tell me indeed i was pregnant and about 7 weeks. A week later after long talks lots of tears and fears. Talking to my oncologist etc we made a family decision to not continue with the pregnancy. We had to worrry about our age. I’m 41 hubby will be 43, our finances. My health. The sacrifices we would have to make. We went to the clinic to terminate but just as the doctor started the Ultrasound she told us that the termination wouldnot continue because I was already 23 weeks pregnant. So after a full ultrasound to see if this baby was ok we found out that everything was normal and we are expecting a warrior princess. She has defied the odds. Three bouts of cancer. Age health everything. She is meant to be here. She’s due may 10. While I am still in shock. I feel her kicking and I’m gettinf very excited. So when the doctor tells you pregnancy will never happen. Sometimes it does lol

happy new year everyone.

Stefanie sent you a hug.
